Sabbath Day (Gen.2: 1-3 & Ex.20: 8 – 11) ——- By r. a.—————- April 16, 2022
Today marks the first Annual Sabbath of the true biblical New Year (Spring). It is called the first day of unleaven bread – an annual Sabbath day- the 16th day of the true biblical New Year. This year It falls on a regular weekly Sabbath, which is today, April 16th as noted on the Gregorian calendar that we and most nations use.
Beginning from the biblical 16th day to the 22nd, (April 16 to 22) unleavened bread is to be eaten during those 7days. The last day (April 22) is also an annual Sabbath day. During those 7 days, no leaven is to found in one’s dwelling.
These two annual Sabbaths of the 7 days of unleavened bread (1st and last day) can occur on any day of the week from year to year. Next year 2023, they will fall on April 6th to the 12.
Messiah was crucified on a Wednesday, which, at that time, was the14th day of the first biblical month. It was not on a Friday. The Roman church always arrange this day to fall on a Friday to support their pagan Easter Sunday resurrection.
Christ shed his blood for the forgiveness of our sins and is the Lamb of God, our Passover Lamb. The ancient Passover pictures Messiah’s sacrifice for our sins.
Those who willingly accept Messiah’s blood sacrifice by being baptized, are declaring they will keep the Creator-God’s commandments, statutes (Holy Days) and judgments as Messiah did.
Christ did NOT abolish these laws (Matt.5: 17) rather he MAGNIFIED them (promoted, lift them up, make great) (Isa.42: 21).
These laws are the bedrock of both the Old Covenant (contract/agreement) and the New Covenant (contract/agreement).
The institution of the Passover and Days Of Unleavened Bread are outlined in Exodus Chpt.12 verses 1 to 51. They are NOT Jewish! The great I AM, the Creator-God says “These are MY feasts” which also includes the weekly Sabbath. See Lev.23 : verse1 for confirmation.
Lastly, here’s the reason for eating unleavened bread for 7 days as ordained by the great I AM, the Creator-God. QUOTE>>: “And it shall be for a sign unto you upon your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes (in your forehead, your mind), that the Lord’s law may be in your mouth…” (Exodus 3: verse 9)
All glory, praise and honor to the Creator-God, the great I AM, in Messiah’s (Jesus/Yahshua’s) name.
May our Father, in Messiah’s name, deliver all those who are going through trials and tribulations at this time, May they be restored, healed and all worry wiped from their minds — and I include myself among those. May it be so, in Yahshua’s/Jesus’ name.
Peace, blessings and protection to all who seek and love the truth — God’s Word (Jn. 17: 17 & Psalm 119: 142)
