Sabbath Day (Gen.2: 1- 3 & Ex.20: 8 – 11)——— By r. a.———— Saturday, Aug.21, 2021
In Messiah’s (Yahshua’s) name: “And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.” (Zech 14: 16) SEE also verses 17 – 19)
Two weeks ago (Aug.07/21) I posted a Sabbath Day Word outlining and defining what sin was according to the word of the Creator-God. The truth is that sin is the breaking/violating/transgressing of the Creator-God’s law/commandments.
If there was no such thing as law, there would be no such thing as sin. For, it is through God’s Laws we recognize and understand what sin is.
On Wednesay, Aug.18/21 an article appeared in the Catholic LifeSite webpage in which Pope Francis stated that the commandments are not “absolutes”!
He said, “I observe them, but not as absolutes, because I know that what justifies me is Jesus Christ. The encounter(?) with Jesus is more important than all of the commandments.”
Question: what is the meaning of absolutes?
Answer: According to dictionaries, it is something that is conceived or that exists independently and not in relation to other things; something that does not depend on anything else and is beyond human control.
Hence, according to the definition of “absolute”, Pope Francis is right when he stated that the commandments are “not absolutes” because they depend upon God’s existence. The Creator-God gave the commandments to be obeyed by his people.
Similarly, the laws of a nation are not absolutes because they are man-made and depend upon man’s existence. That is, if humans didn’t exist, then their laws wouldn’t exist–they are not absolutes.
Nevertheless, the existence of the Creator-God IS AN ABSOLUTE as he does not depend upon anything for his existence!!! He is from “everlasting to everlasting” (Ps.90: 1- 2)
In any case, it is a truth that Pope Francis does NOT observe God’s commandments. He, as well as millions of Christians break the weekly Sabbath, including God’s annual Sabbaths. They observe Sunday and pagan holidays such as Christmas, Easter, etc which are regarded as abominations and forbidden by the Creator-God. (Lev20: 23; Deut.12: 30)
The Pope, as noted above, stated “that what justifies me is Jesus Christ.” “The encounter with Jesus is more important than all of the commandments.”
According to the Pope, Jesus “justifies” him. However, Paul, the apostle stated: “For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the DOERS of the law shall be justified.” Romans 2: 13
If a person is not obeying “doing” the laws of the Creator, as Messiah did, then they are not justified, nor righteous. They are sinners! A person must accept the sacrifice of Messiah for their sins and quit sinning—-transgressing the Father’s commandments.
If you reject and dismiss the Father’s laws, then you are not following “the way, the truth and the life”, Yahshua, the Messiah. (Jn.14: 6) You’ve been snared by Satan and are following “another Jesus”.(2Cor.11: 4).
Eternal death awaits those who reject “the way, the truth and the life” – Yahshua, the true Messiah. So be it!
All glory, praise and honor to the Creator-God, the great I AM, in Yahshua’s name.
Peace, blessings and protection to all who seek and love the truth –God’s Word (Jn.17: 17 & Ps.119: 142)
