Sabbath Day (Gen.2: 1 -3 & Ex.20: 8 -11)——- By r. a. ———Saturday, July 24/21
In Messiah’s (Yahshua’s) name: “Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will do judgment upon the graven images of Babylon: and her whole land shall be confounded, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.” (Jer.51: 47)
Today, many believe America is modern Babylon which will, eventually, be destroyed.
Last Sabbath I posted a music vid titled “Sing, Shake, Clap and Praise the Lord.” Two days later I came across this music vid and I thought I’d post it as a part 2.
The title “By The Rivers Of Babylon” is based on Psalm 137. It recalls the captivity of the Israelites (Judah) when they were deported to Babylon by King Nebuchadnezzar.
The singing quartet is made up of 3 beautiful females and a male who are descendants of the true ancient Israelites. The group was/is called “Boney M” and they were popular in the 70’s. The song has a disco/Caribbean flavour.
The singing begins at the 37 sec mark
To my hearing, the group mingled and blended a verse or two from another psalm which suited and fit the essence of Psalm 137.
Here are just 5 verses of Psalm 137
1- By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
2- For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us, required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.
3- How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land?
4- If I forget thee, O Jerusalem (Zion), let my right hand forget her cunning.
5- If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem (Zion) above my chief joy.
All glory, praise and honor to the Creator-God, the great I AM, in Yahshua’s name.
Peace, blessings and protection to all who seek and love the truth – God’s Word (Jn.17: 17 & Ps.119: 142)
