Sabbath Day (Gen.2: 1-3 & Ex.20: 8 – 11)———-By r. a. ——Saturday, June 05, 2021

In Messiah’s (Yahshua’s) name “… the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men (Think Sunday-keeping)” (Isa. 29: 13)
The headline title of this Sabbath Word is taken from Psalm 91. It features the promises and pledge of God’s protection for those who are in his truth and trust him.
However, we know from experience, those who are believers can still die of disease or the plots of an enemy. Monetheless, those who trust the Creator can testify of being habitually delivered from such dangers. I can personally attest to that.
CAN OUR CREATOR PROTECT YOU IN THE CITY OR, IN THE COUNTRY
Here’s a brief commentary by the deceased James Boice, an American theologian that I came across while doing a search on God’s protection. I edited it for the sake of brevity.
“There was a Christian nobleman who lived in London when a plague was wiping out those in the city. In order to avoid the pestilence he decided to move to his country home.
He heard one of his servants say to another, “I suppose my lord’s leaving the city to avoid the plague. He believes his God is in the country and not in the city”.
Upon hearing it, the Christian nobleman cancelled his journey and returned to the city saying: “My God is everywhere, I will stay where I am”. He did not get the disease.” (by James Boice edited by r. a.)
HERE’S PSALM 91
1 He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with his feathers, and under his wings shalt you trust: his truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flies by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because you hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, your habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear you up in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shall you trample under feet.
14 Because he has set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he has known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.
All glory, praise and honor to the Creator-God, the great I AM, in Yahshua’s name.
