Sabbath Day (Gen.2: 1 -3 & Ex.20: 8 – 11) ——— By r. a. —————-Saturday., April 03/21

In Messiah’s name: Yahshua (Jesus) said unto her (Mary Magdalene), Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and TO MY GOD, and your God. (Jn.20: 17)

Intro–Today (Sat.April 03/21) is the last day of seven days of “Unleavened Bread”. It is an annual Sabbath which so happens to fall this year on a weekly Sabbath.

This year many Christians and Catholics commemorated the crucifixion and death of the Messiah on Friday, April 02/21. On our Gregorian calendar this day is referred to as “Good Friday”. while Sunday is called “Easter”.

Without going into the origin of the terms “Good Friday” or “Easter”, I’d like to stress that “Good Friday” or “Easter” do not appear in the bible. Moreover, Christ was not crucified on a Friday, or resurrected on so-called Easter Sunday.

According to the bible, the Messiah was crucified on the 14th day of the first month on the biblical calendar which usually falls in the early Spring. That 14th day is called “the Lord’s Passover” or just “Passover”.(Exodus 12 :1-7, 43)

The day immediately after the 14th Passover day, the 15th day of the first month is called the beginning of seven days of unleavened bread. And, that 15th day is a yearly high holy day – annual Sabbath day. Like the weekly Sabbath no work or buying/selling is to be done.

Christ Was Not Crucified On A Friday The Day Before A Weekly Sabbath

If, as the Roman Church falsely contends, Messiah died on a Friday, the day before a regular Sabbath day, then they are in contradiction of what is recorded in John chpt.19 verse 31.

In addition and more importantly, they present the Messiah as false and a liar. The scribes and Pharisees asked Christ for a “sign”. Christ responded by telling them the only sign that would be given would be that of the prophet Jonah.

“For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth,” (Matt.12 :40).

Christ had to be in the tomb for 3 days and 3 nights to prove that he was indeed the resurrected Messiah, the son of the Creator-God, the great I AM.

The Roman Church invented scenario, from Friday to Sunday morning, does not add up to 3 days and 3 nights in the “heart of the earth” (tomb).

In order to confirm Messiah’s prophecy of 3 days and 3 nights in the tomb, Christ was actually crucified ON WEDNESDAY.

Wednesday equals one day and one night; Thursday equals one day and one night and Friday equals one day and one night — 3 days and 3nights.

Therefore, Messiah was crucified and died on a Wednesday (14th day Passover) and arose 3 days and 3 nights after his death, which would have been a normal regular weekly Sabbath, – the 17th day of that first month. He did not rise on a Sunday.

Here’s the irrefutable proof that Christ arose early on the weekly Sabbath morning just before the women came with their burial spices. Continues below the pic.

PROOF: Quote King James Version – Mark Chapter 16 verses 1 -2

1 And when the Sabbath (Thurs. the 15th) a high holy annual Sabbath day, (the day after Christ was put to death) was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought (on Friday 16th day) sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.

2 And very early in the morning, the first day of the week (Sat. 17th day weekly Sabbath), they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.

Explanation for verse 2: Notice the above term “day”, it’s in italics in the bible, indicating that a copyist inserted that word, probably to support the existing Roman Church Sunday resurrection.

It should read “on the first Sabbath” instead of “the first day of the week”.

The English term for Sabbath is “week”. The “first Sabbath” is the first of seven regular weekly Sabbaths which lead to the Feast of Weeks – a high holy day Sabbath.

That is, on the day after seven normal weekly Sabbaths, a high holy Sabbath day called the Feast of Weeks is observed. The Greek term for this 50th day (Feast of Weeks) is called “Pentecost” (meaning 50) (Lev.23: 15- 17).

In conclusion, Messiah was crucified on a Wednesday (14th day of first month called Passover). He arose from the dead on the following weekly Saturday (17th day of first month, a weekly Sabbath).

Thus he was in the tomb for 3 days and 3nights. Friday to Sunday does not match, nor is it biblical.

The “Good Friday/Easter Sunday” invention and tradition is the creation of deceived popes, priests and pastors.

All glory, praise and honor to the Creator-God, the great I AM, in Messiah’s (Yahshua’s) name.

Peace, blessings and protection to all who seek and love the truth – (God’s Word Jn.17: 17 & Ps.110: 142)

About ron abbass

Because of my last name, there are some who might think I'm a Muslim. I'm an older student of the bible and I regard myself as Christian-other. That is, I was baptized in a Torah-keeping assembly. I'm one who tries his best to follow Yayshua, the Messiah (Christ) by keeping the commandments, the dietary laws, the weekly Sabbath and the annual Sabbaths (Holy Days) instituted and ordained by the great I AM, the Creator-God of Israel. I reject the holidays and festivals invented by the Roman church. Truth-seeking is my present passion. Presently, I do a lot of research into the World Wars, the mass media, the Holocaust, Zionism, Health Issues, 9/11 and the power brokers who are behind the New World Order that is gradually being established mainly in the Western Nations. Many prognosticators (prophets) both secular and religious are warning us that we are living "On the Eve of Destruction" - the last days. There's a very good chance a nuclear tsunami will eventually visit many nations. Peace and blessings to all who love the truth and hate the lies.
