In Messiah’s name: . “And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord”. (Isa.66: 23)
The feast of tabernacle is an eight day festival of which the first day of that eight day feast is a Sabbath. The eight day, following the seventh day, is referred to as “The Last Great Day” (the eighth day) and it is a Sabbath. God’s feast days are listed in the book of Leviticus chpt. 23.
This year both the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles and last day fell on the regular weekly Sabbath (Oct. 03/20) and today(Oct.10/20).
Sunday-keeping Christians/Catholics have been told that they do not need to observe the biblical feasts ordained by the Creator-God. That is a lie from the father of lies! When Messiah returns, all nations will be required to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. See Zech 14: 16 – 19)
If a person claims to be a follower of the true Messiah, then that individual must keep the weekly Sabbath which is the 4th commandment of the ten, the statutes (Holy Day annual festivals) and judgments of the Creator-God, the great I AM.
The seven days of the Feast of Tabernacles symbolizes/pictures the 1000 year reign of Messiah. It is during this time that those who were worthy of the first resurrection will assist Messiah in governing the nations of this earth.
The eighth day – the Last Great Day of the Feast of Tabernacles symbolizes/pictures God actually dwelling with his people after the 1000 yr reign of Messiah.
There will be millions who will be worthy of eternal life and be living peaceful and harmoniously with each other in the presence of God for eternity.
It is at this time when the Creator-God, the great I AM “will make all things new”
Here’s the text: Revelation Chapter 21 verses 1 – 4
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Here’s the Messiah’s connection to “the last great day of the feast of tabernacles” and the receiving of the God’s holy spirit, as recorded in Jn.7: 37 -39.
37 In the last day, that great day of the feast (of Tabernacles) Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
That is, it was after the death and resurrection of Messiah that the Holy Spirit was poured out [r. a. note].
In sum, the Creator-God’s Seven Annual Festivals picture his plan of salvation for we humans. By observing them, we deepen our understanding of the prophecies throughout the bible and the great I AM’s offer of eternal life for all.
Be wise, choose eternal life instead of eternal death while you are still alive. You will have no fear of the second death from which there is no resurrection.
All glory, praise and honor to the Creator-God, the great I AM, in Messiah’s name.
Peace, blessings and protection to all who seek and love the truth — God’s Word (Jn.17: 17 & Ps. 119: 142)
