I think you would agree that most people on this planet are aware that a USA Presidential election will take place in Nov., 2020. They will vote using either/or, a ballot or an electronic computer (device/machine?)
There are those who claim that voting, especially in these times, is an illusion. That is, candidates are “selected”, not “elected”. I recently read an article that stated money is “the mother’s milk of politics” in which hundreds of millions of dollars are spent to promote a particular candidate for office.
During the election campaigning, each party or candidate tries to destroy their opponents with accusations of corruption, incompetence, or illicit behaviour. Facts regarding these charges, from “unnamed sources”, are difficult to establish. This is applicable to all nations on this earth whose citizens have the “right” or no right to vote.
Once the election is over and a winner is declared (selected), endless charges and investigations impede, restrict and hinder legislative committees and the court system. The Trump impeachment and Russian-gate are recent and ongoing cases in point.
Presently, however, there is an election taking place at this very moment and it ain’t a political one. Political parties and voting have no place in this election. For, the government (Kingdom) of God will be established on this earth in which justice, peace, righteousness and prosperity will be its hallmarks.
The members of that coming government (Kingdom of God) are called the “Elect” whose king is Messiah (Yahshua/jesus), the agent and son of the great I AM, the Creator-God.
In what way do these members become “the elect”?
They are those who have been called and then chosen by God for salvation and eternal life. Notice what Messiah stated in John 6: 44, “No one can come to me unless the Father, who sent me, draws him/her…”
Those who accept that call are the “elect”. Keep in mind, “many are called (millions), but few are chosen”.(Matt.20: 16)
By keeping the Father’s commandments, Holy Days (statutes) and judgments (as Yahshua/Jesus did) is the way one is elected and chosen — they respond to God’s call through his son.
Here are some scripts referencing the terms calling/elect/election. It’s the one that truly matters. It doesn’t involve casting a “ballot or bullet” for a party or candidate. It’s doing the will of the Great I AM -see Matt.7: 21.
2 Peter 1: 10″…brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure”
1Thess1: 4 “Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.”
Luke 12: 32 – The elect are referred to the “little flock” — “32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”
Colossians 3: 12 – “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies (compassion), kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;”
Romans 11: 5 – “at this present time also there is a remnant (a small number according to the election of grace (meaning pardon for sins, it’s God’s favour/gift).
In short, to become one of the “elect”, one must choose to truly follow Christ who obeyed his Fathers commandments, holy days and judgments. He did not abolish or destroy them (Matt 5: 17).
Lastly, here is a fantastic promise for those who overcome the Serpent’s lies, and his God-rejecting laws, religions and governments.
“He that overcomes, and keeps my works (commands, holy days, judgments) unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:” (Rev. 2: 26)
