A member of the Iraqi Islamic Supreme Council, Baqir Jabr al-Zubeidi, warned that US military bases on Iraqi territory would be targeted if the US ever attacked Syria.
The United States is holding some 5,000 soldiers on Iraqi territory and is in the process of rebuilding new military bases there.
As Syrian army and Resistance forces prepare for the final battle in Idlib, the last region where several thousand terrorists are hiding, Western protectors of the latter threaten to target the positions of the Syrian army and its allies.
Their argument? a so-called hypothetical chemical attack that the Syrian State, relieved of its chemical arsenal as of 2014, is preparing to carry out against civilians. The scenario of such an attack would also be premeditated with convoys loaded with chlorine, landed in recent days from neighbouring Turkey to Idlib.
French President Emmanuel Macron claimed on Monday 27 August that the French military was ready to strike again against Syria in case Damascus used chemical weapons.
Before him, it was John Bolton, the American national security adviser, who had advanced a similar threat.
The United States accuses the Syrian army of using chemical weapons, while Damascus destroyed all its chemical weapons in 2013 under UN supervision.
The purpose of all these allegations is to protect terrorists and to justify possible attacks against Syria.
Residents of Idlib province announced on Monday 27 August at the Russian Centre for the Reconciliation of Parties in Conflict that English-speaking foreign specialists had arrived in the locality of Hbit to stage a “chemical attack” with chlorine, Russian Defence Ministry spokesman Igor Konachenkov told reporters on Sunday.
The bombings of Syria in April 2018 and April 2017, following unfounded allegations against Khan Sheikhoun in Idlib governorate, were part of similar scenarios plotted and staged by terrorist protectors.
