Today, beginning this eve, (Sept. 25, 2012) religious Jews and Christian Sabbath-keepers will observe the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). Ultra orthodox Hasidic Jews will mark this day by swinging chickens over their heads while saying a prayer. Is this kosher?
Here’s a repost on that item which I wrote last year. I consider it to be an abominable act in the sight of the God of the True House of Israel.
Can an individual’s sins be passed on to a live chicken that is swung over one’s head?
Some Ashkenazi Jews believe that swinging a live chicken over one’s head 3 times, symbolically transfers one’s sin to the chicken. The chicken is then slaughtered and donated to the poor for consumption!
This ritual of chicken-swinging is called “Kapparot”, (pronunciation “Kapparos”). Money swung over one’s head can be used as a substitute for the chicken.
The following prayer is repeated 3 times: “This is my exchange, this is my substitute, this is my atonement. (This rooster (hen) will go to its death / This money will go to charity), while I will enter and proceed to a good long life and to peace”.

This Jewish ritual is performed on the eve of Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement) one of seven Feast Days as outlined in the Older Testament book of Leviticus 16: 3-34 and 23: 27-33.
The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) had absolutely nothing to do with the swinging of chickens or money over one’s head to make atonement for one’s sins.
Here’s a very brief background on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) as recorded in the Older Testament.
In the book of Leviticus, on the Day of Atonement, two goats were presented in the Temple in Jerusalem. One was chosen by lot to be killed and offered to the God of Israel.
The priests laid their hands on the head of the live goat and placed all the sins of Israel on it and this live “scapegoat” was then taken into the wildness and apparently permitted to roam freely.
Those Jews who perform this chicken-swinging on Yom Kippur are committing idolatry and have “forsaken Yahweh”, the God of Israel. The ritual is hateful and an abomination in his sight (Isa.chpt. 1 v 4,13,14).
Unfortunately, these Ashkenazi Jews are worshipping Satan __knowingly and/or unwittingly!
Here’s a YT link to a 10 min video showing the cruelty involved in the Jewish chicken swinging ritual. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDVSwU1QObM

In case wordpress or you tube censors the vid, here’s a link to the 3min video.
